In all Sizes...
Conveyor metering and orienting systems are a vintage concept.
They utilize a pair of parallel, side-by-side, opposing, near horizontal conveyors.
One receives parts from bulk and meters to a second for orienting purposes.
Misoriented and surplus production parts are recirculated from the orienting conveyor and back to the metering unit in a rectangular path.
"They come in all sizes, with features to meet the needs of the parts to be fed."
This one feeds piston pins to assembly at 600 pieces per hour.
No metal touches the parts. Fabric belt and plastic chain move the parts in the conveyors.
Plastic tooling orients the parts to feed end to end.
A third conveyor stores 300 pieces and meters them to the recirculation conveyor.
