A variety of steel billets; 7/8" to 2-3/8" diameter by 7/8" to 3-1/2" long, are fed to an induction heater for hot forging into socket wrench blanks.
A thirty cubic feet floor bin holds a generous supply for delivery to our efficient orientor.
Billets are fed, end to end, through an adjustable track to the heater at 15 to 60 pieces, per minute, with sound pressure of less than 90 dBa.
Cube billets (diameter=length) are fed as efficiently as shaft billets.
Track and orientor tooling are changed to suit various part sizes in less than 20 minutes.
